Hiya Guys,
I really hope that this week's blog title is obvious to those of you who understand and will most likely read this post! I am a big WWE fan and, before you say 'oh it's fake', well I do know that but I'd like to also say that Marvel and DC and all those films are also fake. So, these last few weeks made history in WWE by having the Brand Split of RAW and Smackdown and making them both live.
Here is my overview of the Draft last week as well as the first week of the so-called 'new era.'
Draft Day
I will be honest and say that Draft Day was a huge disappointment in terms of the draft itself and the way it was organised. It seemed extremely lackluster and rushed in comparison to the other years and seemed to be very much focused on the Managers of each of the companies (Stephanie/ Mick Foley and Shane/ Daniel Bryan) instead of the superstars.
However, when it comes to the picks itself, I was pleasantly surprised and happy. I think that both companies drafted some amazing talent and the first picks (Rollins for Raw and Ambrose for Smackdown) really set the pace for the rest of the draft and I believed started a trend. RAW showed the advancements for women's sports by drafting Charlotte so early and really sent a message that sports was changing. It seemed as if Smackdown went more for the underdogs such as Ambrose, Ziggler, Becky and Zack Ryder whereas RAW seemed to pick many of the heels. I can say honestly that, with the exception of Enzo and Cass and The New Day who were drafted to RAW, that the Smackdown Roster contained many more of my favorites stars.
Yet, I found myself annoyed at the draft in many ways:
1. Why was Cesaro drafted so late behind so many of the less capable wrestlers?
2. Why split up the Club if they were becoming fan favourites surprisingly?
3. Why was Bayley from NXT not drafted? She was a firm fan favoruite and I believe that both companies missed out on an amazing athlete *as shown on Battleground*

4. Why did the women get split if only one company would get a title, I do hope Smackdown creates a women's title exclusive to them.
5. This must be my biggest complaint: WHY THE HELL WASN'T HEATH SLATER DRAFTED!
This is in capitals because why on earth did they not draft him? My only hope is that they finally are going to give him a push with an amazing storyline.
RAW 25/7/16
RAW definitely started off with a bang and there are few reasons that I could put forward that would go against this statement except the match between Enzo and Cass and the Shining Stars which was a stepdown for the two certified G's who are becoming some of WWE's biggest stars.
The two 4-way matches to see who would fight Rollins for the new RAW exclusive title was a brilliant touch and the fact that we got new draftie Finn Balor to win it really emphasised this new age where they are bringing in flesh talent and blood.

However, the biggest and probably my favourite moment of the night was Sasha Banks winning the Women's Title. After months of Charlotte being helped to retain the Championship, it was amazing to see the Bo$$ win because Sasha is everything a WWE superstar should be: passionate, talented, creative and a role model. So whether you didn't want Charlotte to lose it or you wanted someone else to win, it really is a step forward for women's sport seeing the support for this division.
SmackDown 26/7/16
There were some negative feelings with the debut of SmackDown live. It was inevitable that it would be harder for this show to get ratings and positive reviews as it has to start from the bottom! Apart from the pointless segment of bringing all the female Superstars out for nothing but a slam off, when they should've had more female matches an debuts, I was happy with how the night went considering how much shorter it was than RAW.
My favourite segment had to be having Heath Slater hijaking SmackDown and demanding to be signed by Shane. What I loved the most is the crowd's reaction to him getting in the ring and getting behind the One Man Band! He really made a show of himself and made his point that he has the credentials and history to be as good as he was in Nexus and 3MB.
The fatal 6-way match announcement to see who competes against Dean Ambrose at SummerSlam was a nice way to start the show and the superstars picked ranged nicely from the obvious like Cena to the underdogs like Apollo who was picked through a Rumble between all the superstars. The result was very surprising to everyone but I was absolutely ecstatic being a Ziggler fan. Dolph has got much stick for winning this match saying that he's been there before, however, he has worked hard for the company for so long and for a while it seemed as if WWE were taking him for granted. This will show fans around the world that he isn't just a pretty face or a showman but can actually wrestle very well and has that passion.
Now I'm going to find it hard to pick a winner as Dean and Dolph are probably my favourite male wrestlers in the whole WWE Company.

So whether you're a RAW or SmackDown fan, it doesn't matter. It seems like WWE could be going back to it's glory days with fresh NXT blood as well as giving some stars a good ol' push. I hope it continues but all we have to do is Bo-Lieve hehe!
That's all for now my dears,
See you soon
