A Quiet Time in my Internet Life - Exams?

Hiya guys. I've noticed that I haven't written since the 14/4 when I went to the Nathan Sykes concert. There is a reason for this and it also contributes to the reduced time I spend on the computer, millions of people around the UK will also understand what I'm going through - exam season! I'm taking my A-Levels which will affect the chance I have of getting into university, I mean that's a lot of pressure and everyone around me isn't afraid to let me know every single day. 'These grades will affect the rest of your life,' and 'Buckle down or you'll be ruining your future.' They don't know that I have heard all these thoughts before but coming from my own mind constantly.  Colleges teaches you how to pass your exams, but they don't tell you how to cope with everything that comes with it including: how to revise; when to revise and how to cope with all the stress. The lack of communication on these subjects have really...

I met Nathan Sykes? 12/04/15

Hiya guys, Another week meant another concert for me (this is the last one until June). This time I went to see Nathan Sykes at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester. Many of you may know him as 1/5 of the band The Wanted, and this was his first tour since going solo. I got there at 12:00 and met a girl at the venue whom I met online who introduced me to some of her friends she had met. It's weird how fast 7 hours go when you make friends. At every other gig he went out before and we started to worry when he didn't come out but it meant that I could chill near his tour bus with one of the girls I had met and spoke about TW things that I hadn't spoken about for some time.  I was excited getting inside because I was on the 2nd-ish row from the stage. I was next to two lovely girls from Liverpool and they were very helpful in relation to my height issue (being 18 and 5ft 1 never works), they made space to get me as close to the front as I could. Jerry, the suppor...

I am quiet 'and' a dreamer 'and' ambitious! - Inspired by Venus and SprinkleofGlitter

Hiya Guys, Venus have a campaign called 'Use Your 'And'' and I love that it's all about 'Putting an end to one-dimensional labels that limit potential.' This post is going to be more meaningful, as Louise ( SprinkleofGlitter)  asked her viewers to write about my story I am going to say what I think my 'and' is and how it is significant. What defines who I am and what makes me the person I am. I was always quiet, I still am. I'm not pretty, or special or talented in anyway so blending into the background sort of took over my life, I didn't want to be the centre of attention out. People viewed me as, 'the quiet one,' because I barely spoke in lessons and only ever spoke out when I was with my friends, that was there label for me and it stuck. I think this my 'and' came from growing up and wanting to be something in life. I have always dreamt about being different things and these dreams have allowed me to live the...

Lawson Mini Tour

Hiya guys, Sonal here again, two posts within the space of 7 days must be a new record for me! Another week signalled another concert for me, and this time it was Lawson at Gorilla in Manchester. I have been a fan of them since 2011 and was so excited seeing them again! Considering I was waiting in the cold and the rain for 3 solid hours, I was happy to walk into Gorilla and find that I was pretty much 3 rows from the front. I situated myself on the left side because on the Chapman Square Tour I was on the right in front of Ryan, so I thought 'Why not treat myself to some Joel Peat' so that's what I did. I took my sister and my mum (who is a huge fan too) and it almost felt like a bonding session because it was the first time either of them had the privilege to see them live so I was excited and nervous. I don't normally get too excited by the support acts but Andreas Moe was definitely an exception. From the way he managed to play 3 instruments in his ...

McBusted Part 2 - Manchester Arena (Spoilers)

Hiya Guys, Long time no speak? In my 18 years on this planet, I have been fortunate enough to have been to many concerts and I have a few coming up in the next few months. Last night I went, with my mum and sister, to see McBusted at the Manchester Arena . This is the second time I have seen McBusted and I thought that I would make this post as a sort of review of the show, however I don't want to spoil it for people who may be seeing them later on or getting the DVD so I am going to keep it brief and show it from my perspective. We had Block E floorseats and we saw that it was positioned nicely between the main stage and the B Stage. I didn't know whether it would live up to the expectations or the standard of the OMFG tour, there were doubts from many people as this tour didn't sell as well as last year's did. But after last night I question why it didn't sell out and why I didn't know the band well enough to know that they could never disappoint me. ...

How is January Nearly Finished?

Hola again, Welcome to my first proper post on this blog! January has almost finished and many people are going to be looking at the resolutions they set earlier this month and complaining about how they haven't stuck to them. Like most people, I had struggles last year and when 2015 rolled up, I vowed that I would start everyday positively. So that's why I made some New Year Resolutions to try and stick to, not to achieve something but to remain positive... these resolutions include: Let my imagination fly further than it’s ever gone by writing more than ever before Smile even if the world is throwing everything at you Feel happy about how I look everyday Looking back at these, I am happy to say that I have stuck to 4/5 of the resolutions which is more than ever before. I am also happy to say that this blog and many other publications are proof that my imagination and writing skills are constantly growing. I was scared of what people would thin...
