My Trip into Shoreditch

Hiya Guys,

So, this weekend I ventured into the wider area of London and went to Shoreditch with some of my friends. My travels started with a trip underground, a walk to a cereal cafe, a trip to a Jewish bakery and then an adventure to find a wall. Sounds interesting? Well I'll give you a short insight into my day!

The Cereal Killer Cafe in Shoreditch is extremely tiny and if you didn't know about it and what it looked like, you would've missed it. It is located on the amazing and famous Brick Lane along with hundreds of weird and wonderful shops as well as beautiful smelling food (especially during Sunday Market Day).

The cafe is extremely hipster and when you walk in, the first thing that you see is the lines and lines of cereal boxes on the furthest wall filled with things from typical weetabix to cinnabons. As we walked to downstairs, it felt like we were stepping into the 1960s with video tapes and old boyband posters scattered. None of it worked together but for some reason it all just felt right.

After we sat down, we were stuck with the hugest task ever. It beat having to find an alternate way to get too Shoreditch and walking down roads of food whilst having the will power to not buy anything. This task was choosing the cereal. There were over 300 types of cereal and this didn't include the amazing 'cereal cocktails' where they put together cereal, toppings and extra's (it was very flexible) and allowed you to choose from less but get more.

Eventually I chose a toffee type cocktail with a culmination of cereal, banana's, cream and toffee bits which was literally heaven. You could tell that they really put thought into it because, although my ingredients went together nicely, my friend's seemed so odd but worked together well. It included things like party rings, twinkies and hundreds of thousands. Literally there is something for everyone and that includes people who don't like plain milk because you can have different types of milk and coffee etc.

We then ventured into Shoreditch high street because a certain 5sos fangirl (me) wanted to visit a certain wall that the band made for there upcoming album (see my previous post for a review). Apart from the annoying vandalism by some people, the wall was absolutely beautiful and basically represented the new broken scene very well.

So my sum up is, if you are ever in Shoreditch, visit the Cereal Killer cafe and the 5SOS wall, and definitely check out some of the smaller shops and bakeries. It may take a day to really take everything in but it is worth it! Let me know if you've been to either and drop me a comment if you enjoyed it!

That's all for now my dears,
See you soon

xxx

My Dissertation Story

Hi my lil' fairies Hasn't it been a long time since I've spoken to you lovely people? Well my title can probably tell you why. I am in my third year of university and the last few months have consisted of research and writing my dissertation. However, after a solid 7 months, I finally handed my dissertation in on Monday and I can't tell you how much of a weight has been lifted off me. It's almost like this 10, 966 words (I know, I cut it very finely on the word count) have become part of me, mainly because I have invested so much time and effort into it. Before I even started to stress about writing it, I had to come up with an idea for it. I chose my overall topic the year before and this meant that I had to pick within the topic, but it didn't mean restrictions - it was the opposite for me. I picked the cultural revolution in Germany and Britain and this gave me endless possibilities. Initially, I chose to do Britain because I thought that my lack of Ger...

Lawson - Perspective Track by Track Album Review

Hiya Guys, You may be shocked to hear that this post brings back Music Friday **except it's on a Tuesday *so it's Tune Tuesday* bc why not** In 2012, 4 piece band Lawson released their debut album Chapman Squar e which peaked at number 4 in the UK album charts with emotional and heart wrenching tracks like Stolen and The Girl I Knew.  Fast forward 4 years, of which included Andy having a near death experience and months of writing, the long awaited second album  Perspective has finally been released. This is an absolutely amazing album filled with love, passion, some brilliant chord progressions, amazing vocals and some awesome guitar solos! So here is my track by track review of the album and please bare with me and read to the end *it is worth it*: Perspective (Intro) This track is a great way to start the new album and real...

The Start of Something New

Hiya Guys, Contrary to the title and my love of Disney, this blog post isn't all about High School Musical (but one day maybe). Today I had my last exam and that officially signals the end of my college life and, even though I am excited for a new start, I thought I'd reminisce on my time and also give some of you lovely people advice if you are starting college. I never really expected to enjoy college as much as I did because High School was life changing and really brought me out of my shell. However, college really defined who I was as a person and who I want to be in the future. It also helped me grow as a person by giving me my first taste of independence and I met people I hope will stay in my life forever. I'm not saying that college is the route for everyone because there are so many different options like finding a job or doing an apprenticeship. But, for me, college was something I'd always wanted and knew that it would give me skills to combat the...
