American Idol Top 5 Performances

Hiya Guys, I am suffering post-American Idol depression and I sort of feel empty not having a huge number of performances to catch up on... but it means that I haven't got an excuse to procrastinate and can actually get work done. But, I don't want to let go yet and I love procrastinating so I thought, 'Why not do what I do best?' That would be creating lists of my favourite things so let's get onto my top 5 favourite performances from the entire series of American Idol. This was one of the hardest posts to do as there were so many performances that I loved for different reasons. 1. Dalton Rapattoni - Bird Set Free by Sia Now, I know this may seem bias as I have been a Dalton fan for a year now but this performance was something that I will never forget and don't want to forget. Firstly, Sia did an amazing job with this song and the lyrics of this song are now probably some of my favourite ever lyrics because they have so much meaning and is very relatab...

The End of the American Idol Era! - FInale Night

Hiya Guys, As many of you who've read my other posts know, I have been pretty much addicted to this series of American Idol (even though I am from the UK) and I am sad to say it has finally finished. After 14 years, they've hung up the microphones and packed up the stage and ended on a high! This series has been absolutely amazing and I have witnessed some amazing and talented singers that are really going to influence the music industry in the years to come. But these last two days of the finale have really ended the show on a high note.  I was extremely devastated when Dalton got voted out but I am so incredibly proud of how much he has achieved and he couldn't have lost out to two better people! Trent and La'Porshe are absolutely stunning singers and I don't think I could have predicted a better final. Wednesday night really heated up the process with it being on a much larger scale in terms of staging and audience as well as more to lose. Dalton...

American Idol - My Favourites in the Top 10

Hiya Guys, This post probably seems slightly weird as I am from the UK and this post is about an American TV Talent Show. Well, it is weird how obsessed I have become with this series for several reasons including the amount of talent that oozes from a variety of artists who beat most people on British talent shows. The talent seems to be a lot more raw and they don't do what us Brits love and keep all the rubbish acts to make good TV but in the process ruin good artists shots. The amazingly funny and talented judging panel consisting of J-Lo, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. have picked raw talent and stuck to their guns by keeping people they know can make it big. The chemistry between the 3 judges is brilliant as there is so much banter and joking but, in the end, they always know what they are talking about and give constructive criticism. Here are the people I think have made this year amazing and have made it to the top 10: 1. Dalton Rapattoni - @DaltonRapat...

#ImNobodyToo - Dalton Rapattoni

Hiya Guys, I had previously had another post written for Music Friday's but something happened last night in the USA that made this post crystal clear.  I have never spoken of American Idol, because obviously I am from the UK, but someone that I have been fond of for a while appeared as a contestant and I mean he has made such an impact in my life that I couldn't not write about him. If any of ya'll watched last night's episode, you would of recalled a young boy from Dallas singing Phantom of the Opera. If that doesn't ring a bell, 'you're masculine but a bit feminine too with your makeup' was what J-Lo described him as. Yes I am talking about 19 year old Dalton Rapattoni, ex-member of IM5 and member of Fly Away Hero.  You may have seen IM5 appear on my Christmas songs list and he appears on my social media more often than my own life. So anyway, for me, he was the soundtrack of an extremely difficult 2015 and has a voice that is am...
