Bassists are important too!

Hiya Guys, So last week I did a pretty in depth blogpost about my obsession for the underrated task of being a drummer but that got me thinking. Bassists are also very underrated as they're part of the quiet yet necessary bass section so I thought about doing a similar post but for bassists. The bass guitar is a wondrous instrument and if played correctly, it completely change a track and, if heard, it can be the most magical part of a song and encapsulate an audience. Everyone always complains how it is just a crappy version of a guitar with 4 strings but, to all those people, be gone with you demons! So here are my top bassists in no particular order. Please do not hate if I've missed huge bass idols but these are just the ones I listen too and who have made a huge impact in my life. I also do not wish to pretend that I know about playing bass so, if I am technically wrong, then please do not criticise as I am a novice on the bass section. 1. Ryan Fletcher from Law

Music Friday Appreciates Drummers

Hiya Guys, So Music Friday has not been as regular as I had first wanted but as you all know, education can sometimes shuffle those priorities around but now I am back on my feet, this should be a lot easier to maintain. So the title is basically self explanatory and directly addresses what the topic of this post is about. You either love them and take in every single beat or you think that they are loud and irrelevant. Obviously, I fit into the first category because otherwise I wouldn't be writing this post about some of my favourite drummers that some you'll be aware of and some you probably won't. Ever since I got into 'proper' music, in that I mean more music heavily based on instruments rather than just vocals or dances, and became a huge part of my high school's music department, the concept of the drum and how they are played really stands out for me in every piece of music I listen to. It has gotten so bad that sometimes I manage to tune ou

January made me quiet!

Hiya Guys,  I have procrastinated writing a post, which is the reason for lack of mid week posts and Music Friday posts and I have decided that it is the concept of January that's done it!  I am currently writing this to the High School Musical soundtrack and I think that shows how my January has gone and I think it's the same for everyone, isn't it? I mean it's the first month of the new year and everyone is either back to work, household duties or education and it seems so suckish but we fight through it with tiredness or even a new surge of energy. I seem to fit into the first category as I have arrived to university to be met with 3 topics to do reading for, another one that makes me have to read a book each week and a presentation for pretty much all of my topics. However, I joined the gym so I guess that needed a lot of energy because I am pretty much lazy as hell. But why is it the case? Why is January one of the most hated months? Why do we want

#ImNobodyToo - Dalton Rapattoni

Hiya Guys, I had previously had another post written for Music Friday's but something happened last night in the USA that made this post crystal clear.  I have never spoken of American Idol, because obviously I am from the UK, but someone that I have been fond of for a while appeared as a contestant and I mean he has made such an impact in my life that I couldn't not write about him. If any of ya'll watched last night's episode, you would of recalled a young boy from Dallas singing Phantom of the Opera. If that doesn't ring a bell, 'you're masculine but a bit feminine too with your makeup' was what J-Lo described him as. Yes I am talking about 19 year old Dalton Rapattoni, ex-member of IM5 and member of Fly Away Hero.  You may have seen IM5 appear on my Christmas songs list and he appears on my social media more often than my own life. So anyway, for me, he was the soundtrack of an extremely difficult 2015 and has a voice that is am

So long 2015!

Hiya Guys, I was going to do a cliche of a post on what I was going to change about myself and the things I do in 2016, but I decided against it. Instead I have decided to do my round up of the most important parts of 2015 in the different area's such as music, film, news etc. I decided to do a few big points for each topic just so it gives you a bit of everything and be free to skip the things that bore you. Music 1. Probably the biggest news (well depending on who you are) is the break up of the HUGE 1D. Whether you love or hate them, you have to admit that they had some catchy tunes and they basically took over the world and there were some hilariously OTT reactions to their break up such as mass hysteria. 2. Justin Beiber changed his demographic. Who would have thought by the end of 2015, Beiber would've had 8 tracks in the top 40 in one week as well as changing pretty much everyone in the world to being a sort of Belieber. I was never a Bieber fan but it seems t
