#ImNobodyToo - Dalton Rapattoni

Hiya Guys,

I had previously had another post written for Music Friday's but something happened last night in the USA that made this post crystal clear.

I have never spoken of American Idol, because obviously I am from the UK, but someone that I have been fond of for a while appeared as a contestant and I mean he has made such an impact in my life that I couldn't not write about him.

If any of ya'll watched last night's episode, you would of recalled a young boy from Dallas singing Phantom of the Opera. If that doesn't ring a bell, 'you're masculine but a bit feminine too with your makeup' was what J-Lo described him as. Yes I am talking about 19 year old Dalton Rapattoni, ex-member of IM5 and member of Fly Away Hero.
You may have seen IM5 appear on my Christmas songs list and he appears on my social media more often than my own life.

So anyway, for me, he was the soundtrack of an extremely difficult 2015 and has a voice that is amazing and unique. He chose an amazingly difficult song but made it seem effortless, however this post is less on him on American Idol *I don't want to give any spoilers* but more about him as a musician. However, if you want to watch his audition to see the result for yourself, then here is the link for it:

So anyway, Dalton Rapattoni is one of those artists that either you listen to and you're like 'oh he's great' or he suddenly becomes your whole world and his music does something to you, I am obviously in the latter category.

His voice is so distinct and that is so important to remember when listening to voices or artists. I believe that when you listen to him sing a specific song, you can literally hear that emotion and rawness and know that he means every word that is coming out of his mouth. Also, if you choose to listen to him through headphones, you can hear the richness and passion through your body and believe that you are the only person in a room with him while he sings.

There is literally a song that he has written, for him and his band Fly Away Hero, for every emotion whether it be angry, sad or heartbroken and I feel that it is a great way to actually piece together your emotions. So if you're sad listen to Stop, if you want to scream listen to Gasoline and if you want to cry listen to Misunderstood from their EP Lost and Found.

He also isn't a sore for the eye. Another thing that is amazing about him is his distinct style that is a mix of rock and quirkiness with the blacks yet the brightness of his shoes and the eyeliner and flowery Doc Martin's. His style is great to use as an influence whether you are a guy or a girl and he does eyeliner better than I could dream.

So that is me introducing you to a new musician that is going to be even bigger than I ever thought! Even from being in a boyband, he was always unique and has grown so much as an artists and a performer, so please give him some love and let me know what you think of him in the comments!

Thats all for now my dears,
See you soon

xxx

P.S: If you're reading this Dalton, thank you for everything and you've helped me so much.

What the Future holds!

Hi my lil' fairies It's been a month since I've graduated and, since that day, I've been hit with questions left, right and centre about what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. As I've said in the last post, that scares me shitless because I still think I'm too young to know what the future's going to be like and I'm in denial that I'm not in education anymore to use as an excuse... That's not to say that I've been sat on my arse since I finished in May! As soon as I got home, I was lucky enough to have a job at Hollister waiting for me so, as long as I can get the hours, that's what I'll be doing to pass the time and earn some cash. On top of that, I'm also trying to get work experience here and there, apply for jobs and still do all the stuff I love like writing my blogs and stories. However, the fact that I've been so busy, has helped me not like go into an existential crisis BUT it means I've always

Ear Piercing Debate

Hi my lil' fairies, It seems like all I ever seem to do is complain about what I've seen on my usual weekday morning television schedule, which normally includes Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women! I can normally watch pretty much any segment and understand both perspectives, but, today, I watched a segment about a debate that has been talked about before and is just increasingly angering me each time. Would you let your toddler get their ears pierced? Here's the video from the last time it was debated: I know it's a question that raises controversy but my main issue was the argument from the woman who opposed it: getting your toddler's ears pierced is child abuse. EXCUSE ME?!? Here's my stance on this issue as a whole: I got my ears pierced when I was a small baba because it's pretty much normal in my culture and the same thing happened to my sister when she was little. I never found anything weird about it and, fast forward 20

Halloween Costume Controversy Response

Hello my lil' fairies Sometimes, I'll be watching daytime telly (Loose Women, This Morning etc) and I'll stumble upon a topic of discussion that really sparks a reaction inside of me which I normally respond to by tweets. This morning I was watching Good Morning Britain and a topic came up that I knew needed a lot more than just 240 characters. It's something that is extremely close to my heart and really relevant at the moment. I am a massive Disney fan and meeting the characters and Princesses at Disneyworld are memories I won't forget. It's also Halloween and millions of little children are going out to buy costumes of their favourite Princesses like Cinderella, Elsa and Jasmine. So, you can imagine my surprise when I heard Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley talking about the cultural appropriation of Halloween costumes, and in particular Moana and Elsa costumes. My view might be controversial in this PC society but, as someone of ethnic origin, I thin
