Isn't it too early for Christmas songs?

Hiya Guys,

Hopefully the title and the day sort of show you what today's Music Friday is going to be about. As I have been listening to Christmas music since about July, I have picked up a great playlist of Christmas songs, some of which I listened to while decorating my flat which you can read about that in my last post.

There will be a mix in this playlist and, although I love the classics and originals of songs, I thought that most people already know them so I'll throw together some modern ones, some of which are original and some of which are covers. Please don't hate, just appreciate and choose which ones you blast full volume or those that cause you to curse under your breath at me.

Here are songs that are originals by artists:

1. Jingle Bell Pop by IM5

Even though the name sounds very similar to Jingle Bell Rock, it is nothing like it. Written by IM5's own Will Jay, it is upbeat, poppy and the video just makes me smile whenever I watch it.

2. Hoping for Snow by The Vamps

This is one of the originals off The Vamps 2014 Christmas album and I love this song because it has the instruments that we link with Christmas like bells and it's just a feel good song and I recommend you listen to the whole album.

3. Holiday Mashup 2012 by IM5

This mashup is an original of old Christmas classics. IM5 were the kings of Mashups so check out all of them on their YouTube.

Here are covers of songs done by artists, I won't explain why I like them because there are too many:

1. Baby it's Cold Outside by Idina Menzel and Michael Buble

2. Mistletoe by Calum Hood (and another one by IM5)

3. It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas by Union J

4. Santa Clause is Coming to Town by IM5

5. Hallelujah by Brad Simpson

6. Last Christmas by Busted

7. Hark the Heralds Angels by Busted

8. Rockin Robin by The Vamps

9. White Christmas by The Wanted

So I hope you enjoy, or not, listening to all of these songs and please recommend your own that you love at this festive season.

That's all for now my dears,
See you soon

Lawson - Perspective Track by Track Album Review

Hiya Guys, You may be shocked to hear that this post brings back Music Friday **except it's on a Tuesday *so it's Tune Tuesday* bc why not** In 2012, 4 piece band Lawson released their debut album Chapman Squar e which peaked at number 4 in the UK album charts with emotional and heart wrenching tracks like Stolen and The Girl I Knew.  Fast forward 4 years, of which included Andy having a near death experience and months of writing, the long awaited second album  Perspective has finally been released. This album takes a very different approach and style from the first album and is a lot more upbeat and happy than Chapman Square. This is an absolutely amazing album filled with love, passion, some brilliant chord progressions, amazing vocals and some awesome guitar solos! So here is my track by track review of the album and please bare with me and read to the end *it is worth it*: Perspective (Intro) This track is a great way to start the new album and real...

Halloween Costume Controversy Response

Hello my lil' fairies Sometimes, I'll be watching daytime telly (Loose Women, This Morning etc) and I'll stumble upon a topic of discussion that really sparks a reaction inside of me which I normally respond to by tweets. This morning I was watching Good Morning Britain and a topic came up that I knew needed a lot more than just 240 characters. It's something that is extremely close to my heart and really relevant at the moment. I am a massive Disney fan and meeting the characters and Princesses at Disneyworld are memories I won't forget. It's also Halloween and millions of little children are going out to buy costumes of their favourite Princesses like Cinderella, Elsa and Jasmine. So, you can imagine my surprise when I heard Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley talking about the cultural appropriation of Halloween costumes, and in particular Moana and Elsa costumes. My view might be controversial in this PC society but, as someone of ethnic origin, I thin...

I met Nathan Sykes? 12/04/15

Hiya guys, Another week meant another concert for me (this is the last one until June). This time I went to see Nathan Sykes at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester. Many of you may know him as 1/5 of the band The Wanted, and this was his first tour since going solo. I got there at 12:00 and met a girl at the venue whom I met online who introduced me to some of her friends she had met. It's weird how fast 7 hours go when you make friends. At every other gig he went out before and we started to worry when he didn't come out but it meant that I could chill near his tour bus with one of the girls I had met and spoke about TW things that I hadn't spoken about for some time.  I was excited getting inside because I was on the 2nd-ish row from the stage. I was next to two lovely girls from Liverpool and they were very helpful in relation to my height issue (being 18 and 5ft 1 never works), they made space to get me as close to the front as I could. Jerry, the suppor...
